7 Dec – This 22 December, Golden Village will premiere their new cinema, GV Katong, in Katong, located east of Singapore, filling in for a previously vacated cinema.

The new GV Katong is specifically located in the new 112 Katong lifestyle mall, and contains eight halls. Six of the halls are designed with the traditional stadium seating, digital projection and sound as well as wall-to-wall screens while the remaining two halls will be built for Gold Class, but with a twist.

Mr. Kurt Rieder, Chief Executive Officer of Golden Village said, "GV Katong will offer a boutique cinematic experience unlike any other and set a new standard for movie-going, closer to home."

In addition, GV Katong Cineplex is able to accommodate 924 seats, and will be offering menus specially customised according to the Peranakan concept that the cinemas is based on. Some of the cuisine that can be expected by patrons would be Otak Samosas, Assam Fish with fragrant Basmati rice, and Nonya Kueh delicacies.
