Yosemite Falls

Yosemite Falls is the highest waterfall in North America and the fifth highest in the world. The water drops 2,425 feet in three tiers to the granite rocks below. It is truely a breath-takeing site. The hike to the falls requires only a 1/2 mile round trip walk from the Yosemite Falls parking lot.

Bridalviel Falls

Bridalviel Falls is a misty, free-falling waterfall that drops 620 feet off a vertical cliff. The hike to reach the falls requires only a 1.2 mile round trip walk from the Bridalveil parking lot.

Neveda Falls Vernal Falls

By taking a six-mile round trip hike, you may see these two wonderful waterfalls. In my opinion, this is the best hike within Yosemite. The trail parallels the Merced River between Half Dome and Glacier Point. You will be able to walk to the base and the top of both these falls. In fact, the trail goes right up along the side of Vernal Falls, and you will get SOAKED from the mist coming off the falls. Both these falls are an impressive sight, with Vernal falling 317 feet and Nevada falling 594 feet. Plus along the way, you will be treated with views of Glacier Point, Half Dome, Illiloutte Falls, and Upper Yosemite Falls.

Ribbon Falls

Ribbon Falls is the highest free-leaping falls in the park at 1,612 feet. There is no trail to the falls, but it can be seen at many spots throughout Yosemite Valley. The falls is to the left of El Capitan. Unfortunately, this falls usually dries up by August.
