The SCN experts proved to be of great service and lent a helping hand to their local friends. People from the area flocked to the site from afar not only to assist SCN but also to ask for advice, guidance, and discuss solutions and remedies for many of their problems related to fodder, crops, seeds and orchards. They were treated to a special advisory service by the delegation of Sarhad Conservation Network. This was probably the first time for the locals of this area who benefited from information provided by botanists and foresters who are well known specialists in their respective disciplines.

. "Surely, more of such close interactions and dialogue, help and support encounters will continue in the future" remarked a beaming Dr. Murad Ali, executive member SCN, on the occasion. He was very pleased to note that the local community had responded positively which was evident by their over whelming participation.

The most encouraging and moving aspect of the campaign was the enthusiastic involvement and active participation by the local youth. Rare scenes were witnessed as scions of influential families were also seen rubbing shoulders with common folks in this campaign. Normally, these young men of higher status would not even reach for a glass of water for themselves. Setting aside their social standings, they were seen digging, planting and watering the saplings along with the peasants to symbolize their love of greenery and common concern for their futures.
