NS4 C/LT Timothy Teurel is Silver Creek NJROTC�s Executive Officer (XO) for the 2006/2007 school year. He is a senior with four years of dedication to the NJROTC unit. When asked why he joined the Unit cadet Teurel responded � To be honest I really didn�t have a reason it just seemed interesting. But once I found out what it was about, I couldn�t help but love it.� His love for the unit has pushed cadet Teurel to succeed and led him to Leadership Academy in Washington during the summer of his Junior year. His experience at leadership academy was an excellent one, � I learned a lot, I definitely think there is a difference between my leadership before and how it is now� he remarked upon his return. After passing leadership academy cadet Teurel returned to Silver Creek where he was given the role of XO. This honor was justified as cadet Teurel has spent all four years of High School dedicated to NJROTC with three years on the armed drill team, three years on the rifle team, and time spent on various teams including volleyball, soccer, academic, marching, and color guard. In his Senior year cadet Teurel hopes that the Unit will win Distinguished Unit again, so that he leaves the Unit the way he came into the Unit, as a distinguished and accomplished Unit. As for his own life cadet Teurel hopes to attend Santa Clara University to study forensics, pursuing a career as a forensic scientist.
