NS4 C/CAPT Jayme Takano Nakamura is Silver Creek NJROTC�s Executive Assistant (XA) for the 2006/2007 school year. A senior who has dedicated four years to the program cadet Nakamura is a shining example of how far dedication and commitment can take you. In the summer of her Sophomore Year cadet Nakamura attended Leadership Academy in Hawaii. Two weeks after her arrival in Hawaii Cadet Nakamura returned to Silver Creek with a passing A grade after her completion of the rigorous and demanding course as well as many memories she can take satisfaction in. Cadet Nakamura had the following to say about Leadership Academy �I met people from all over the world, and I still keep in touch with them now. It is amazing the bond we formed at Leadership Academy, because first you go through hell with them and then you go through paradise with them. It is my most treasured experience from my time in NJROTC.�EJustifiably she was promoted from a C/PO1 to a C/LTJG and immediately assumed a leadership role in the unit, becoming the first Junior Commanding Officer. Her success has been recognized through organizations such as the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the American Legion for qualities such as Leadership and outstanding Citizenship. Now in her senior year Cadet Nakamura has set the following goals for the Raider Unit: Higher Unit participation, placing (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) at every competition, and to establish a good set of strong leaders to lead the Unit to nationals in years to come. As for her own life cadet Nakamura wants to attend college after high school and is looking towards becoming a marine corps officer then a teacher.
