Passive Solar Box                   2002

As a study in passive design, my partner and I were given a problem to design a box that would collect as much solar heat energy as possible in fourty-five minutes.  After the heating phase, the box was then removed from direct sunlight and retained as much heat energy as possible.  The box was constructed from used pallets, copper pipe, a solar blanket, and unused cotton we picked from the cultivated fields.
