Residential Life

The Benedictine Experience (cont.)

Living in the resident halls teaches you life lessons that cannot be learned anywhere else. It teaches you time management, helps in developing social skills and much more. You are surrounded by peers who are in the same situation that you are. The different stresses felt by college students are often reduced when they can talk to other students who are feeling the same way. Juan Sanchez, a senior, said, "I find it easier to work on homework and to study when everyone around me is doing the same thing."

There are many activities such as cookouts, athletic events just minutes away and social gatherings at your friends' apartments. This is the time that students kick back and enjoy college life. Beth Hall said, "I love when there are cookouts in the quad. It's fun to eat good food and see everyone relaxing."
