Residential Life

The Benedictine Experience (cont.)

by Monica Schmidt

Most of the residents of Ondrak and Jaeger Hall are freshmen. Living in these dorms is how they first meet a lot of their friends. Courtney Storer, a junior at Benedictine said, "My favorite part of living in the dorms was meeting people and being around other students who were going through the same change in atmosphere. If I didn't live in Ondrak I would not have met as many people."

After living in the dorms some students choose to move to Founders' Woods, the on-campus apartments, and some decide that they like living in the dorms so much that they move in to Nuezil. This is the case for Patrick Murphy, a senior. He said, "I love living with my friends in the dorms. We are always finding something fun to do."

As most of you already know, you don't have to live in a dorm. Many of Benedictine's students commute or live in Founder's Woods. Since August of 2004, Founder's Woods has become on-campus apartments. Founders' Woods is convenient in that it is located a few minutes walking distance from classes and you still have the ease of apartment living.
