News and Tidbits
May 20-YES KIDS, the film has arrived to so-so reviews, but the concensus is that Episode II is a much better film than the first one.Here is my review
April 28-ON April 23, the official wave of merchandise hit the stores, which include the Soundtrack, the multitude of toys and several books.
April 14, 2002-Local department store Ames HAS put some of the Episode II merchandise on sale. Last week, I purchased the Obi Wan Jedi Starfighter, this past week, Jango Fett's Slave 1 as well as An Aakin Skywalker, which has the old school push-out lightsaber, and c-3po with sanp on armor. Anankin's force powers works when the hand is practically right on top of an object he can pick up.
March 24, 2002- The "Sneak Peek" figures have arrived in stores. Featured are Jango Fett, a female bounty hunter, a droid, A Clone Trooper. Expect the line to premiere in early May.
March 21, 2002: Somehow, some way, internet guru Harry Knowles got his way to see a secret screeneing of the film, which is supposed to be heavily guarded. He liked it very much, but hated Jar Jar's appearance.
January 7: Two members of the Seattle Star Wars Society have done what idiots have done in the past when Episode I came out: Camped out in front of a movie theater until Episode II comes out in May: It must be nice to not be able to be bothered by a job or anything to just spend four months waiting for a film that could be bound to disappoint the fans as much as the first prequel did. But time will tell I guess.
