Welcome to my Krupicka History web site. My purpose is to share KRUPICKA information as it pertains to my ancestors. I'm also looking for information about a half Uncle (see Story) and other descendants.
The family picture was probably taken in the early to mid 1880's. A stamp on the back of the photo has some missing letters but we believe it was taken in the village of Soutici (a village near Brzotice). The boys in back are Antonin Krupicka (Krupecek), Frantisek "Frank" Krupicka (my grandfather) and Josef "Joseph" Krupicka; in front is Ludvig or Jan Krupicka, Barbora Charvatova Krupicka and Antonin Krupicka.
The family lived at Brzotice No.1. My great-grandfather, Antonin, was a senkyr which explained in English is an innkeeper/bartender. Also, Antonin's father, Antonin and his great-grandfather, Franz were senkyrs. Anton owned the #1 property. Recent information received from the 2002 owners of Brzotice No.1 indicated that the Pub/Inn burned down in 1917 and the property was sold in 1920.
Follow the links to Frantisek's Story. There are also short bios on Antonin and Joseph and a few photos of interest.
Access to the family tree data base can be found by searching on www.rootsweb.com.
