The main difference from the "default" model is that legal control of the household and its goods rests in the hands of the wife and mother, rather than the husband and father. She may still spin while he chops the wood, but she is the one doing the buying, selling, and managing around the farm.

The medical arts are more advanced in Saromatia than anywhere else, except perhaps the Jade Empire.
