The 2.6 driver has just been posted and fixes several major issues, including an issue discovered by one of the visitors to my page with the batch files. This release also fixes the GL issue that some of you reported. You no longer need to run referencerelease.reg
I'd appreciate if you'd take the time to dload this updated driver from our files section.
Thanks again,
Mike
Id also like to announce that Ive joined the Savage News Team over at Savage News

ugh I dont believe I did this....... This mistake was on my own part and I apologize. Before I packaged it I made a few more changes... My mistake guys Im sorry. Please run this file in order to use the tweaked drivers: ReferenceRelease.reg
It is located in the GL Tweak Folder. The decemberrelease.reg will also work just fine. If you wanted to use the latest GL driver, reboot to dos, run dx7comp.bat, and reboot again. Following this run the GLTWeak file 90121DisabledT&L.reg
A apologize. regardless of this, the referencerelease.reg file actually seems faster than the 90121 release. I just benched Q3 on my Athlon 500, demo001 and achieved these scores at 1024x768 w/ Maximum detail, trilinear filtering, and 32 bit color: 48.5 fps
Not too bad, in fact since I benched last time I recieved 45.6 fps, almost a 2 fps increase.
This will defenitely solve the GL problem for everyone, and once again I apologize for this...
Sorry it took me this long to get my newest driver completed, but its finally up. Id like to thank the beta team for testing each release for me, and hope this final release will be substantially improved from whatever driver you're currently using. Just one thing, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EXACT. You *MUST* follow the instructions for the driver to work properly. To check out the driver, please visit the file section and then click the link to the 2.5 driver. Feel free to email me with any comments, criticisms, or suggestions, as well as any problems you experience at: [email protected] Have fun gaming =)

Sorry it has taken me so long to post another update, alot was going on this weekend. I replaced my Gigabyte 7IX with a MSI K7 Pro. Very happy with it so far, but that was just one of the delays for this weekend :) I have posted the updated Savage2000 Drivers in the files Section so feel free to dload them. I also found 2 more DVD registry keys that I have added, so please read the readme1st.doc file *Before* installing the drivers. I have modified the INF's further to include a Gaming Optimized driver for those of you with high-end systems and want maximum peformance, as well as a DVD optimized inf (the gaming inf is also DVD optimized). Please goto the files section for that.

Not much new this weekend, and I still havent posted my PowerDVD Review, I apologize for this. This weekend I pulled my Savage2000 for a while to put my Savage4 back in and make an updated driver set (not only to post but, for my own uses as well). This time around, I did a little more research before Im going to post them, and will run benchmarks as well. Hopefully they will work as well for everyone elses purposes as they do my own. Ive done several things to them for DVD purposes (which fix the shaking screen when enabling motion compensation), as well as a registry adjustment that enables Motion Comp when playing back in 32 bit color. If anyones interested, check back later tonight as I plan on posting them by then. I also plan on writing several reviews over the course of the next month or so. Look for these to include Windows 2000, Cyberlink Power DVD 2.55, Diamond Viper II, and the Diamond Monster Sound MX400. Thats all for now, watch for some major changes VERY soon (and those drivers).

I Havent updated in sometime now, and this is for several reasons. First off we finally got a faster connection, so I should be updating alot more frequently. Second, we had a battle with the cable modem getting it networked to my other two computers, which has kept me 'out of commission' for quite some time now. I plan on posting a review on Cyberlink PowerDVD 2.55 either later tonight or tommorrow. I have reviewed it on a Savage4, Savage2000, and Geforce. Well, Im off to format after a long week of problems with my computer. Should only take me about an hour to get my computer online, then ill start work on my review :)
