EPISODE 12

Patanjali stayed for two days at the research head quarters in pokran.he noticed that he had some pimples & blisters over his body and that cough persists, & felt a mild fever.He was treated very well by the doctors of the authorities concerned & this gave him a relief.He had been givn immunity injections.On the second day of his arrival , he received an official invitation .From the nuclear center it was rather confidential than official ,and as he moved into army head quarters ,he sensed more security than needed .The watch man opened the car door & stretched his hand towards the office .As he got down the car some ten jawans& body gaurds surrounded.He felt so he was so conjested.He felt suffocated.Getting on over the main stairs ,he was led through a series of room .And then into a air conditioned room .He got into the room wished wished the army cheif,the executive chairman of nuclear research and the cheif coordinator & took his seat. The air conditioning stopped.The cheif coordiantor a lizard with ephermeral anger soon noticed it , rang a bell & roared at the official .Within seconds the air conditioning was on. "what do you like to have coffee , cooldrink"the coordiantor aked patanjali
"no sir"
"there is a reason for inviting you here to pokran"the coordinator continued.
"you are one of the best research officer. you must have been a proffesional!"added the army cheif.
"iam a proffesional"he pointed out.
"good!" the army cheif remarked.
"well , you are one , mr patanjali here's a confidential assignment.Iindia wishes to perform nuclear test.The prime minister os keen to perform it for our sceintists ,defence , our countries glory in the field and many other reasons.He has filled in all the confidential documents.The tests are planned to perform theis year,three days later on 12-5-98" "sir a personal argument if you please.If you dont mistake mefor a betrayer...."
"o.k mr patanjali you may..."the coordinator said.
"no no sir ,i will take up the assignment ,i assure you .but ....what is the need for a country to these.......there will be a arms race"he coughed.
"mr.patanjali , i could have answered if i were the prime minister or president .you have to ask them ."the army cheif roared.
"mr.patanjali , you have to plan & surprise the pollution reduction operation.
The nuclear wastes are to be packed and earthed , the radiations are to be prevented from leaving the project walls.the estimated heat, energy,rate of reaction , intensity will be given to this effect.it is going to commence on 12-5-98,exactly at 3.pm there are twenty eminent sceintists workin on the plant ."the chairman phoned the catering officer & asked her to send MR .Salmon. "MR Salmon is a great analysist .His analysis of each thing is just reality."
"Excuse me"a low voice came from his back &both the army cheif & co-ordinator got up to greet him. "He is salmon ,he is great analysist of this whole project.he is in touch with nook & corner of the plant .And he is mr patanjali ,the eminent pollution control officer. Both shook hands as the cheif introduced to each of them. "He will be very much helpful.mr salmon give him the details & the mandate of the test project.mr patanjali,well you will have no contacts to outside for these three days until the test is conducted .you have to stay just in the office co-residence and you have to produce your plan documents before us by tommarow evening they would be sent to the sceintists for discussion and the chairman for approval .any delay may prove to be serious both to your carreer & life.wish you all good luck."the co-ordinator warned.
