PROMOTE YOURSELF OR YOUR BUSINESS OR JUST BE KNOWN ON THE WORLD WIDE WEB
You may be a private person, just wanting to have your own little web site and you can use your server free space. We can also train you to built your own site. Or you may be a business and promote yourself.

DO BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS AND MAKE SALES ON THE WORLD WIDE WEB.
Now, this is powerful business! A branch of your business on everybody's computer on the world wide web. We have to write the necessary programs so that your client can search your products, fill in an order form and pay by credit card. You may chose a company that does the credit card E-mail transactions for you and we have to create the appropriate links to them. We can help you with the selection of the company or you may seek professional advice in this field. You will need to select a server that allows cgi on their site. One who does not allow it, is not worth your money! Alternatively you may seek a server who has the Microsoft FrontPage server extension installed. Note however that even if the extension is installed, a lot of servers still do not allow you to run a data base. Be aware of that.

WHAT WE USE TO CREATE YOUR SITE
We use Dreamweaver 3, frontage 2000 and Html editors to create the site for you.

We use Flash 4 for moving cartoon pictures and they can include synchronized sound. We also use Gif Animator.

Image editing is mostly done with Firework 3, but we also use some Microsoft products.

FORMS AND CGI
Forms for ordering parts or look up tables from a data base and the required programs that activate them.

SOUND
We can provide sound on your page. For streaming sound you need the permission from the server. In many cases streaming sound is not required.

UPLOADING AND SITE MAINTENANCE
We use Cute ftp for uploading, unless we have to deal with a site that requires the FrontPage 2000 Server extension. In this case we use the FrontPage Program for uploading. 

FRONTPAGE SERVER EXTENSION
The FrontPage Server extension replaces the necessity for us to create cgi and helps to make web creation simpler. But one is limited with what FrontPage 2000 is designed to do. We can provide either, as long as we are not limited by the server.

SELECTING YOUR SERVER
The important thing is that your server allows cgi. If he does not allow it, avoid him! He is not worth your money! Having the FrontPage server extension is good, but not really necessary when there are cgi bins available on the site. There are all sorts of different offers. Remember that just because you have an entire site up and going with one server, does not mean you are stuck. Your website is stored on our hard disk and we can reload your site with another Internet Service Provider in no time at all.

If you are not sure, you can always select a server that only charges monthly fees rather than laying out hundreds of dollars upfront.

SITE UPDATE
Even if your business was static - did not require any changes, which is hardly the case, your site is never constant. It always requires updating. You may like your site as it is, but eventually change your mind. You might find that other people around you have additional ideas and comments that would improve your site even further. We are aware of and very open to that. The cost is included in the site maintenance and it really depends on whether you just want to change your sites images, looks and functions, or whether you have a database that changes from day to day. Remember, to save cost we can train you in uploading your data base. This makes it cheaper for you especially if it is a daily routine.

DOMAIN NAME
You can register a domain name with a Internet Service Provider that run commercial sites. We can also do it for you, but this payment must be done upfront as this is a free service. The current fees are 140 Dollars for 2 years, if it is a commercial site and has the "com." extension at the end. Without this extension the cost is 160  Dollars for 2 years.

You do not need a domain name to create your site. Your site can be on a temporary space as it is being built for you to see. You can use your Isp free space or we can provide this for you at no cost! 

IMAGES AND BANNERS
Even though our software can create banners for you, we generally generate the banners ourselves as this represents a personal expression of our client and his business. 

With banners as well as with images we need our client's input. We need pictures and /or photographs of the people, the products and services of our client. We can recreate new  images with existing ones and let our imagination play - the sky is the limit.

Our client will need to supply us with these photographic images. These can be on brochures, existing photographs and any other material currently in use. They can come in the form of hardware (like actual photographs and pictures on prints) or they can come on software (either on floppy disks or through email). Real prints are only required for a very short period of time, because once they are scanned, we no longer need them.

OUR FEES
The cost is impossible to determine here as you might be a client who just wants a personal web site, a small business client who only wants to promote his business, a client with a demand for a huge database and e-commerce. You might want us to maintain your site and update it or you might want us to train you to do that. 

We can offer to you  "A see is what you get approach", whereby we put a small site up for you at a very small cost indeed for you to see and then we can expand it for you. In this way you are not taking much of a risk.
