HALT/HART(Hug a Liberal Today, Hug a Republican Tomorrow), is an organization created by a Northern liberal and a Southern conservative in the hopes of bridging the right/left divide in this country and promoting dialogue, respect, and the common ideals that all Americans share.
This country no longer seeks to branch out to the opposing side and create an open and intellectual dialogue- the kind that is needed to create lasting compromises and solutions to the nations problems. Instead, we expand the divide by pushing divisive issues not designed to promote unity but designed to make things worse.
IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE.

WE ARE ALL AMERICANS!
As Americans, We share the same common goals: a good education, health care, security, a safe community, healthy environment, and a better life for our children. Let us speak to those goals again. Once we recognize these shared goals, compromise will become easier. |

We at HALT/ HART, hope you will use this website as a means to get information from various sources of media, activist groups, think tanks, and pundits. Our goal is to help spread honest debate, moderation, and compromise- things out political system now lacks as it is dominated by pundits and extreme bias. Here we will try to present all sides of an issue with sources of information in hopes that YOU will make your own decision based on the evidence, not the bias opinion of others. It is our hope that you will use this site frequently and tell others about it. Our country was founded on compromise, it was expanded further and made great through further compromise.
