The conference I attended in Providence/Rhode Island/USA was about modelling and simulation. The organizer was AIAA. That much about the conference.
The trip: We (me and my colleague Vedat) started from Ankara/Turkey. First stop Istanbul and then Paris. That Paris airport is dam expensive! Then 8 hours to New York JFK airport.
We rented a car from Dollar. Since we studied our map (from mapquest.com) we were confident. And so we continued by car. It took about 3 hours to reach Seekonk/Massachusets where our hotel was. The time was 23:00. And it almost took 1 hour to find our hotel in that little Seekonk!

The conference was in Providence, 15 minutes drive away from Seekonk. Providence is a very nice city. Clean and quality. The wether is very humid. And the women...My God, very beautiful in all shapes and colors ;) I fell in love with a black girl. I wish I had taken a photo of her. Man o man, she was something.
A view from Providence. No, that's not the white house!
One interesting thing about America was all this detailed warning signs like "Buckle up! It's the Law" or "Speed limits strictly enforced!". And I haven't seen any driver apart from us trying to obey the speed limit LOL!
Warning and information signs all over the place
We stayed there for 3 days and returned home. It was exhausting.
