The Story So Far
Dwayne Milliner, childe of New England's Priscus, Masochesus, was killed by the Lupines of Maiden Newton as an indirect result of actions by the Sabbat of the city, under the direction of Ducti Lucas Prowler and Jacob Cheese, and at the request of two visiting Giovanni. The former Archbishop of the city, Vladislav Grimaldi, has been taken by Inquisitor Lewis on charges of heresy and breaches of the Code of Milan.
09/07/04 - "Alpha Omega"
Following the apparent success of the affair with Imrahil - who may or may not have been the Eldest Fiend - Terrence, an auditor sent by the new Cardinal of Europe,
Tomsk, arrived to assess the Maiden Newton Temple. True Sabbat traitor and former Bishop of Maiden Newton, Genesis Omega, returned to the Temple, apparently unaware of ever having been there before. However, before long he showed his true colours, and attempted to kill Dr Paul Maud'dib - the Cainite who had once served the Temple as Bishop alongside Omega. His reasons seemed unclear, but two leads were uncovered once Omega had been pacified, one a drop-off point for his reports, the other a contact he acquired orders from. These leads led the Cainites to uncover more clues, and eventually revealed that Genesis Omega is now in fact a Camarilla agent. Things are not as simple as that, however, as upon further interrogation it became apparent that Omega might be the victim of mind control - as he was once before when he was accused of murdering the former Archbishop of the city several months ago. Who Omega's new master is remains unknown, but plans are being made to turn the disgraced Ravnos antitribu into a double agent and send him back to his master. Meanwhile, bizarrely, randomly and inextricably, Dwayne Milliner - known to be destroyed - was sighted by both of the Packs. What meaning this might hold, if any, also remains unknown.

16/07/04 - "The Usual Suspects"
The Temple came under attack by three very potent Cainites, seemingly a Tremere, a Ventrue and a Brujah, of the Camarilla. Following up on leads from last week, the two Packs went to the city's orphanage - formerly a Victorian sanitarian - where they found very little, until a sudden attack by numerous vampires and ghouls surprised them. However, most of the enemies the Sabbat vanquished in fact turned out to be nothing more than orphans - and it seemed as though they had slaughtered them all, and killed no actual enemies. Returning to the Temple, Terrence told the Packs that the new Archbishop for the city,
Roy Batty (and it was strongly advised that no jokes about his name ever be made to his face), had not been heard from yet, despite the fact he was supposed to have been there for the beginning of the evening. Encouraging them to find him as a way of currying favour with the former Bishop of Coventry, Terrence gave them details of the road into the city that Roy was to be using - a road that is adjacent to the forest. There the Cainites found Roy's BMW, abandoned and damaged, and found several sets of tracks leading away from it into the forest. Splitting up, the Cainites were all attacked within their groups by roving Lupines, and while some were very seriously wounded, there were  no fatalities. Returning to the Temple unsuccessful once more, several of the Cainites made it clear they dissapproved of the way that the Sabbat is handling Maiden Newton, and some even went as far as to blame Terrence. Meanwhile there was still no news about Archbishop Batty.

23/07/04 - "Bring Me The Head Of Quaffs-The-Mead"
This week saw the return of
Carth Onasi, the leader of the resistance in Maiden Newton against the heretical True Sabbat. Archbishop Batty, a seemingly rather eccentric Cainite and weak leader, was at the Temple. He explained that last week he had run afoul of the Lupines. After the Blood Bath to consecrate his Archbishopric for the city, a Cainite called Dudley showed up. Dudley, a Packmate of the deceased Dwayne Milliner, reasoned that, as according to Sabbat justice, he was entitled to the heads of Ductus Cheese and Ductus Prowler. However, he relented a little, and instead demanded they get him the head of the Lupine Alpha, Quaffs-the-Mead. Thus the Cainites arranged a meeting with Quaffs, but came away with nothing helpful. Upon Dudley's return, the Temple en masse turned on him, and Batty ordered his removal from the building. The Cainites were only too pleased to comply. However, this incident resulted in a heated debate between Carth and Batty, the result of which was Carth angrily walking out of the Temple. Nobody else questioned Batty, although this was possibly due to his wielding a large battleaxe at them. Batty did inform them however of a pair of Anarchs who were in the city, and sent them off to investigate them, demanding that each Pack submit a written report on the events of the evening for his later perusal. The pair of Anarchs turned out to be many more than just two, but it was ultimately revealed that they had been under the mistaken impression that the city was contested, rather than Sabbat-held. Nonetheless, the Sabbat took their leader captive, along with a couple more of the French revolutionaries.

30/08/04 - "The Box"
Archbishop Batty put the Anarch leader, Bernard, at the mercy of the the Temple, and it was decided that his request to join the Sabbat be approved. Batty thus took him to the recently-reclaimed Dorchester for his initiation. Before he left, however, he issued orders to find out who had sabotaged the Temple's security system, for during the week he had discovered the cameras all had magnets attached to them, and the hard drive had been erased. He also ordered that a new security system, being flown in for the Museum of Art History, be intercepted and stolen for the Temple. While out investigating these matters, both Packs received a phone call from a stranger calling himself Deep Throat. Meeting with Deep Throat revealed that he is a technical support technician for a company that he refused to name, but which apparently has a strong interest in Cainite affairs. He told them that a package was arriving in the city that would be of great interest to them. Upon finally acquiring the package, the Cainites discovered a human body, identical in every respect bar vampirism to Packmate Galork. Meanwhile newcomer Amy, desperate for clues as to who had sabotaged the Temple's security, wandered into the forest, destroying the non-inteferance 'treaty' made with the Lupines last week. Amy's toe and a simple note arrived later at the Temple to confirm this.

6/08/04 - "Men In Black"
With the recent attacks by the curious black-adorned men having become even more frequent (and with the devesation of
Dr Paul Maud'dib's haven, even more deadly), the Temple decided to do something about it, despite Archbishop Batty's insistence that the problem with the Lupines - who now also hold Inquisitor Lewis. The result of this debate was that one Pack decided to meet with Quaffs-the-Mead, to try and get their bretheren back, while the other Pack went after the mysterious 'men in black'. The first Pack, led by Jaden in the absence of both the Ductus, Jacob Cheese, and the Acting Ductus, Haltia, met once again with Quaffs, who agreed to return Amy and Lewis if they found and destroyed the 'new thing' that is in the city, a new thing that the Lupines deem worse even than the Sabbat. This led them to the hospital, where several occult incidents had occurred, but proved fruitless. Meanwhile, the other Pack tracked the men in black down to a car warehouse, but discovered that it was in fact a trap, as a large platoon of the elite enemies attacked. The encounter seemed likely to end in the favour of the MiBs, had it not been for a bizarre occurrence that resulted in the annihilation of the enemy. The first Pack, having just been frantically directed to the warehouse by the Lupines, arrived to find the MiBs decimated, and their fellow Packmates Torporous.

13/08/04 - "The Lion's Den"
Resolving to investigate the disaster of last week, Ductus Prowler led his Pack back to the warehouse, while Jaden - promoted to Ductus due to the prolonged and unexplained absence of Jacob Cheese - led his Pack on a search for clues as to how to deal with the demonic threat that is now hanging over the city. Prowler's Pack found the long-missing Bishop Abdul, who seemingly led them into a trap, the result of which was them being trapped in a white room and subjected to many extremes, as though being tested, before being released. Meanwhile Jaden's Pack found a lead to a forbidden text that may help them, a text that is seen as one of the highest heresies of the Sabbat. Despite the consequences, Jaden read the text. Upon returning to the Temple, both Packs were surprised by the unforeseen arrival of Inquisitor Tiberius, who announced that there is an infernalist in the city, and that he is here to hold trial - immediately.

20/08/04 - "Crime and Punishment"
Inquisitor Tiberius announced that the infernalist to be put on trial was Victor, and a defence and prosecution was organised, namely Jack and Paul Maud'dib respectively. Maud'dib was soon found unfit to prosecute and was replaced by Jaden. The trial commenced immediately, and went on into the early hours of the morning, during which Jaden managed to cast some doubts on his own loyalties while simultaneously allowing Jack to make a clear case of Victor's innocence. The defendent was ultimately found Not Guilty by the jury (which comprised the rest of the Cainites in the Temple), and Tiberius left the city without a conviction.

27/08/04 - "You Take The High Road..."
Ductus Jaden and his Pack went off to Edinburgh to hunt down and exorcise the demon that has been plaguing the city through the unwilling Victor, by tracking down the cult that gave Victor his infernal tattoo and travelling into an unholy realm, while Ductus Prowler and his Pack tried firstly to deal with the Lupine threat (as dictated by Archbishop Batty) and then to investigate Quicksilver's involvement in the attacks against the Cainites (as suggested by Bishop Abdul), leading to some rather interesting discoveries...

03/09/04 - "Rogue Element"
As had been arranged with Ductus Prowler and his Pack last week, the real Archbishop Roy Batty - having been captured and held in stasis by Quicksilver scientists since his arrival to the city - confronted the fake Batty, who had all this time been 'commanding' the Temple - and beheaded him. This victory of the Temple was soured slightly by the fact that the new Batty is the polar opposite of the fake one; where the fake Batty had no command or authority, the real version is an angry, vicious and rather frighteniong version. After all this excitement, the two Packs followed independent leads on Quicksilver which led them both to the corporation's secret Security Service, led by the enigmatic and near-invincible Mr Chapman. Angered by their intrusion and arrogance, Chapman went back to the Temple and took on the powerful and intimidating Archbishop Batty, and beat him. Batty was last seen following his enemy as a large shadowy mass. Meanwhile Inquisitor Lewis, having been released by the Lupines, was intrigued to learn of this new turn of events, and following his report to his superiors, informed the Temple that he had been charged with bringing in Batty for questioning on his capture by Quicksilver and his recent failure to deal with Chapman.

10/12/04 - "Deux Ex Machina"
With the absence once again of Batty, a Paladin was present to deliver orders to destroy Chapman. Antonio-Pavali Giovanni declared that Maiden Newton was to be handed back to the Sabbat, and as a gesture of goodwill, he burned the document that had been signed a year ago by the Alliance. After he left, Chapman tore his way into the Temple, and would have killed the Cainites had it not been for Quaffs-the-Mead, who got them to relative safety, into the forest. Quaffs told them that Batty and all the other Garou (Lupines) were dead, at the hands of Chapman. He explained that Chapman is a part of something bigger: an entity in the spiritual realm that is Quicksilver incarnate. This Quicksilver-beast was slowly sucking the life out of the city, through every item and use of technology and science, feeding off the inhabitants and being fuelled immensely by the research and work being undertaken at Quicksilver. Quaffs took the Cainites into the spirit realm and together they headed back into the city. Fighting their way through masses of spider-creatures (of varying size and difficulty), they finally got to the spiritual representation of the Quicksilver building, fought their way to the top, and slew the 'Weaver-beast' that was controlling Quicksilver. Returning battle-weary back to the Temple, the Cainites were visited by Michael Spearman, CEO of Quicksilver and relative to Hope and Andrew Spearman, who were both murdered last year in relation to the Armageddon Prophecy. Spearman told them that he has been plotting revenge against the vampires of the city for a year or so now, by utilising the resources of Quicksilver that were as his complete disposal. His researchers created a virus, HIV-5, which targets the immunity systems of vampires and renders them as being even less effective than humans. His plan was then to let them die agonisingly of simple afflictions like the common cold, as a means of revenge for the wrong that was done to his family. Unforunately his investors, two businessmen from the Italian Giovanni family, usurped his control and plan to, this very night, unleash Ebola into the city, annihilating not only the vampires - who were infected with HIV-5 earlier in the evening via the combustion of the document - but also the humans...
