increased greatly when Rakh was able to arrange an agreement with Benito, granting him and the Family a controlling interest in the Industrial sector of the city, in return for Giovanni aid in the Alliance against Lord Arrakon and his disciple, London.
However, some time later it turned out that Benito was merely a finely crafted persona of the Malkavian, Luthor Delane. Delane offered the influence and control of the city he had gained back to the Alliance, if they agreed to assist him in casting out the demon Uriel from his companion, Abigail. This was agreed upon, and Rakh and the mage Jonas assisted Luthor in destroying Uriel's presence from Abigail. Luthor, and therefore Benito, left the city for good, thereby taking with him the "Giovanni" interest in the city completely. |

Giovanni. Benito, a loyal member of his Clan and Family, is the CEO of Deelan Shipping, an international shipping company based in New York, a position he gained for himself some 33 years ago after leaving Venice to pursue his own gains in unlife, and to bring the glory of the Giovanni to the New World.
However, recently he has been recalled to Venice, and charged with tracking down a Sabbat Cainite, Gynander, of the Black Hand, who was involved in some 'business' while in Maiden Newton, that was to the detriment of the Family. Arriving in the city, Benito found Gynander was gone, but secretly began preperations for his other, more covert assignment, concerning the Giovanni as a whole, and the city itself.
