PERSONALITY: Cocky, hyper, smart mouthed, and talkative. She is usually cheerful, but she has her depressing, antisocial moments. She has a chip on her shoulder and she can be just as twisted, psychotic, and bloodthirsty as Nemesis, but she usually shows mercy unlike her father.
BIOGRAPHY: Being the only "true" daughter of Nemesis (in other words, biological and not a vampire fledgling), her mother was a unicorn demon who had been raped by the hellish fiend when she took human form. The unicorn demon's name was Kendra. She was the youngest adult mare in her herd. She was afraid to return to the herd, knowing that she would immediately be banished as an outcast because of what had happened to her and who had caused her to lose her innocence. However, feeling scared and alone and needing her herd for support, she traveled back. The stallion, Arkane, immediately sensed Kendra's impurity. Smelling the evil stench on her and the abomination growing within her womb, he immediately attacked her and chased her off, making sure that she would never return while the frightened herd members stood back and watched. Kendra wandered the wilderness alone, shying away from any living creature she saw. The months passed and the birth of her offspring neared. During this time, an ancient unicorn stallion began following her who went by the name of Oracle. Kendra, seeing that he was not a demon but an actual unicorn, felt safer and less alone when he was near. She saw him as her guardian. On the night of a new moon, Kendra, in her unicorn form, gave birth to her demon child. When she saw that the child was not a foal, but was more or less human-like with a unicorn tail, she took her human form and held the girl in her arms. Kendra was clearly shaken when she saw that her daughter's eyes were like Nemesis', but soon calmed a little when she noticed that they were full of innocence instead of evil and hatred. Despite who Gemini's father was, Kendra vowed to take care of her child. Oracle had stood by to make sure that the birth went well before he disappeared. He rarely made any more appearances.
Gemini grew up happily with her mother, but because of who she was, most other creatures stayed as far away from her and Kendra as possible and whispered amongst themselves that she was as evil as her father. Kendra was offended, but blew off the remarks. Gemini acted like she was not bothered by the gossip, but a great hatred and anger began growing deep within her soul. Nemesis was well known and feared by all, but rarely spoken of because of the fear and panic that his name spread. It was her mother who reluctantly told her about her father. Finding out who he was made Gemini loathe him even more. The hatred intensified to the maximum when she went looking for her mother after exploring the surrounding forest when she was around seven hundred years old. She came to the glade where she and Kendra resided and noticed red liquid in the normally clear water. She followed the trail of blood in the small river to the large weeping willow tree at the water's edge. The flowers and grass in the surrounding area had withered and died, and so had the tree. Kendra's equine body was laying halfway out of the water, mutilated and beheaded. There was no sign of a large struggle and a sickly evil scent was in the air. Gemini knew that scent for it was part of her own. Nemesis had killed her mother just for the pure joy of it. Alone, Gemini buried what was left of her mother's body. She never found Kendra's head, however, and somehow knew that her father had taken it. For the next thousand years, Gemini devoted herself to increasing her demonic power and vowed to kill her father at all costs for revenge. At one point, Nemesis found his daughter and tried to kill her. The two fought and Gemini was critically injured, leading Nemesis to believe that she had no chance of survival. However, when Nemesis left, Oracle appeared and healed the comatose Gemini before vanishing. She awoke, wondering what had happened and angry at herself for losing.
She tracked down her father one night as he fought Ryoko. The fox girl had been paralyzed by his power and would have suffered severe injuries if Gemini had not stepped in to interrupt. Nemesis was furious that she was still alive and the two exchanged sharp words before Gemini ran off. A later encounter between Nemesis and Kai alerted Gemini to appear again. Her desire for revenge was so great that she could not be stopped as she attacked her father head on. The confrontation resulted in Nemesis delivering a deep wound in his daughter's back. Ryoko arrived as this happened and he turned his attention to her and the two began battling. Ryoko told Kai to take the unconscious Gemini back to the house where her injury was treated by Hoofamon. Despite the alicorn's powers, the wound still took time to fully heal and left a large scar across her back. Intrigued by the hospitality and the strange assortment of people, Gemini decided to live at the Imaad residence.
QUIRKS: Though for the most part she is all bubbly and happy, she refuses to be in the same house as Nemesis (nonetheless the same country), and another side of her seems to awaken. She gets angry and takes pleasure in fighting him (even if others hold her back, she fights them off to reach her father), trying to hurt him in any way she can; her way of getting revenge on him for killing Kendra and for never being there for her. But underneath all of her rage and hatred, she is like a fearful child and secretly longs for him to be the father he never was to her. However, Nemesis loathes her, viewing her as a mistake and that she never should have come into existence. Gemini seems to have a strong demonic power locked away within herself that one rarely sees unless she is severely angered, a power that causes her to transform into a demonic animal referred to as the Growlie.

THOUGHTS: Gemini is one of my favorite female characters. She can be so happy and fun loving one minute, but if someone even mentions her father she can get pretty scary. She has good reasons for hating Nemesis and can be as complex to figure out as Lestat. I'm still not exactly sure what caused me to create her. I guess it's because I came up with a cool character design and decided that the ever thickening plot could become even thicker if Nemesis had an actual daughter, which would be completely unexpected.
