Calvin Banks
Born
and raised in California, Eric Balfour embarked on an entertainment
career at the age of 15, when a talent scout cast him as a series
regular on the musical show Kids Incorporated. He has since
established himself as one of the industry's emerging young talents,
having obtained numerous roles in both film and television.
Balfour currently appears as a series regular on the Golden
Globe-winning series Six Feet Under and he can be seen on 24.
Other notable television credits include NYPD Blue, The West
Wing and Chicago Hope.
On the big screen Balfour has appeared in America's Sweethearts,
What Women Want and Can't Hardly Wait. He is currently
on location in Texas, starring in a remake of the horror classic,
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Outside of acting, Balfour is
committed to many other endeavors. He's the lead singer of his band,
Fredalba. With a lively sound that mixes reggae, hip-hop, soul, rock
and funk, the band recently recorded their first album, "Uptown Music
for Downtown Kids." An avid animal lover, Balfour also volunteers at
Villa Lobos and is active with their program, Pets in the Hood, where
he teaches inmates at local juvenile detention centers how to respect
and care for pit bulls.
In his downtime Balfour enjoys surfing and snowboarding. He currently
