Vincent Siminou
Born
in Pretoria, South Africa, Arnold Vosloo established an exceptional
reputation as an actor in his native country before coming to America.
Vosloo is best known for playing the title role in the box office
blockbuster films The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. Other
film credits include Con Express, Zeus and Roxanne,
Darkman II: The Return of Durant, Darkman III: Die Darkman Die,
1492: Conquest of Paradise, Skeleton Coast, Steel
Dawn and Hard Target.
Vosloo earned recognition for his extensive work in South African
theater with Best Actor awards for his roles in Don Juan and
More Is In Lang Dag, and a Best Supporting Actor award for
Torch Song Trilogy. As a regular performer at South Africa's State
Theater, he obtained leading roles in Hamlet, Twelfth Night
and Savages. On the silver screen Vosloo won Dalro Awards for
Best Actor for Circles in a Forest and Boetie gaan border
toe, and a Best Actor nomination for the film version of More
is in Lang Dang, all of which were South African productions.
After moving to the United States, he co-starred with Al Pacino and
Sheryl Lee in a Circle In The Square production of Salome.
American television guest appearances include the series Charmed,
Nash Bridges, American Gothic and Strange World.
Vosloo currently resides in Los Angeles.
