Listed in the 1783 Chesterfield County, VA tax list, pg 51, no township listed, household of 3 whites and 6 blacks. Note: this could be his son Peter, mislabeled in the old records as "Jr.", which often happened, in which case this Peter Baugh is listed with a household of 9 whites and 22 blacks; it's doubtful that the latter refers to his father, Peter Sr., since that Peter Baugh probably died before 1783.

   To three Daughters, Sarah, Elizabeth and Susanna BAUGH for life or until married, part of land and houses I live on, with 50 acres, being part of land I herafter give my son, Andrew and 50 acres adjoining the swamp, of land I bought of my son Robert.
   To Son, Robert, part of tract purchased of Joseph FRANKLIN on the South side of Long Swamp and bounded by the swamp, George COUSINS, William DANCE, and Chales BURTON, except 50 acres above to 3 daughters; also to him negroes and items.
   To Son: Peter, land he lives on North side of Deep Creek, 3 negroes and items.
   To Son: Robert and Alexander, two, on half lots in town lands near Osbornes Inspection.
   To Daughter: Sarah BAUGH, 3 negroes and items.
