Loretta June Shackelford-Wright from "Chesterfield County, Virginia Wills 1774-1795, Benjamin B. Weisiger III.  Note: In viewing his will, and his bequeathing to his brothers, sisters, and nephews, it appears that Alexander never married, or had no surviving wife or child.

To brother Peter Baugh, 2 negroes.
To Nephew James Pride 1 negro I purchased of John Cortney of Richmond.
To Nephew Alexander Gibbs 1 negro.
To sister Susanna McDowell 2 negro, 1 lot in Gatesville.
To sister Elizabeth Stone 1 negro, 1 lot in Gatesville.
To sister Sarah Baugh, feather bed, trunk and 15 pounds.
To sister Priscilla Pride 15 pounds.
To nephew John Alexander Pride, my plantation and land 3 negroes and items.

Executors: friends John Pride, Lancelot Stone.
Witnesses: Joel Franklin, Jesse Franklin and John Franklin, James Franklin.
