RV  SINGLES   Ratings   Page

  Loadin' Up
I started a group in March, 2007, on  EONS.com  named RV SINGLES, dedicated to people who travel alone (or with pets) with their tents, campers/travel trailers, fifth-wheels and RV's.  We are living our desire to see the great things this country has to offer, OFF the 'beaten-traveled' paths.  This group, in its growth, indicates that we single RVers will increase in numbers, to become a noticeable percentage of this nation's expanding ranks of RVers!

RV Parks and Campgrounds Ratings scale
3-Star facilities - above average, you shouldn't miss it!
2-Star facilities - average, but worth the stay - keep an eye out!
1-Star facilities - needs work, look elsewhere - you can pass it by!

Not all RV travelers' facilities are yet listed, and available for search, on YAHOO Travel.  Therefore I will be posting a rating here, for some lesser-known stops -- OR a link to the review on YAHOO Travel.  Every record starts somewhere - here's the beginning of my ratings pages.

Perhaps by offering this ratings page [a rating of public RV Parks and other overnight use sites, which exist to attract and service on-road RV travelers], we travelers can recommend the best sites to stay, and avoid those sites which possibly do not 'live up to expectations'.  Let's keep the growing number of RV park-sites honest, in offering truly enjoyable and fairly-priced stays for us all.

Santa Fe Trail RV Park
Springer,
New Mexico
03/18/07

What makes this park a weary traveler's great place to stop overnight is that there's no competition close by. Situated at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 56 West and I-25, at interstate Exits 412 and 414, Springer is approx. 50 miles south of the Colorado state line and Raton Pass. And it's a long way to the next available stop for the night [north to Raton and south to Las Vegas, NM]. Personally attended by the owners, travelers stay a night for $14. This includes electricity, water, and sewer hookups. Bathrooms are available for the "camping" traveler, and a showers/laundry facility is being built onsite. The small town of Springer, NM, may not stand out on the map - but stop and stay for a few days, and you'll see its people make it stand out. Local sites of interest are Cimarron Canyon and Springer Lake, as well as views of great herds of antelope [a favorite spot for antelope hunting in the Fall of the year].
