The collection holds 4 stories and two short novels. This is the first
time in the history of Arabic literature that a writer uses in his
writings Baghdadi Jewish dialect. All the stories take place in Baghdad
during the '40's and '50's.
YAWM HABALAT WA AJHADAT AL DOONIA (The Day In Which The World Was
Conceived And Miscarried)
This collection holds 4 short novels which take place in India, Iraq
and Israel and it uses Iraqi Jewish dialect. It has various themes, and
was awarded The Prime Minister Prize. The book was translated to Hebrew
and will welcome the oppurtunity to be translated
to other
languages
as well.
NUBOOAT RAJULIN MAJNOON FI MADINA MALAUNA (Prophesies of a Mad Man
in a Cursed City)
This collection holds 7 stories. Two of which are "Iraqi" stories
written in a post modern way and deals with the situation
of Iraq today.
