   CONSTITUTION - Articles IV - V  

 ARTICLE IV: MEMBERSHIP
Membership shall be open to all Rutgers University students and must comply with federal laws prohibiting discrimation on the basis of race, sex, handicap, age, sexual orientation, or political and religious affiliation. Compliance with these laws means that membership; benefits and the election of officers will not be made on the basis of these factors.

 SECTION 1: THE FOLLOWING WILL RESULT IN THE EXPULSION OF A MEMBER
A. Being absent at more than 3/4th of the scheduled meetings per semester (unexcused). All memberships will be reviewed based on attendence at the end of each year and a report will be given during the first or second meeting of the following year.
B. Loss of membership will result in loss of right to vote; with amendments at the descretion of the Executive board.

 SECTION 2: REGAINING MEMBERSHIP
In order to regain membership, it is necessary to attend at least 3/4th on the meetings during the summer after which membership was lost. The student's membership will be re-evaluated and will be reinstated for the next semester if that student is found to have fulfilled the above obligation.

 ARTICLE V: OFFICERS AND DUTIES
 SECTION 1: ROLE DESCRIPTION
The minimum number of officers of TWESE shall be a President, a Vice President, Secretary and treasurer. Officiers of this organization shall be students of any undergraduate college affiliated with Rutgers University.
A. The President will be responsible for organizing and running all actions of the organization and shall also be responsible for all actions of the organization and shall serve as the official representative of the organization.
B. The Vice President shall serve in the absence of the President. The Vice President shall assist the President and coordinate the efforts of the organization's committees.
C. The Secretary will oversee the maintencance of a membership list, sending out renewal notices, and notifying members of the social events. He/she must learn to keep information confidential and know how to deal diplomatically with members. Officers/members can be released with the president's approval. He/she may arrange appointments, distribute and answer mail, handle confidential records, arrange business/entertainment details such as meal reservations. He or she may arrange details of travel arrangements.
D. The Trearurer will have charge of funds/revenues of the club. The Treasurer will keep an account of spending and regulate financial dealings of the club. Receipts from club spending should be filed with the treasurer. He/she should regularly keep the President/Vice President informed of the club's financial position. The President must confirm any financial transactions between the club and outside personnel.

 SECTION 2: ATTACHE POSITIONS
The advisors of the organization must be a full time member of Rutgers University faculity or staff. The advisor is a non-voting member. It shall be the responsibility of the Executive Board to supervise the nomination and election process.

 SECTION 3: OVERALL COMPOSITION
The Executive Board shall consist of the above named officers and the advisor. The advisor is a non-voting member. It shall be the responsibility of the advisor to supervise the nominations and election processes.
