CONSTITUTION - Articles I - III 
ARTICLE I: NOMENCLATURE
The name of this organization is to be known as TWESE pronounced (TWAY-SAY), and officially titled as the Organization of African Students and Friends of Africa.
ARTICLE II: PURPOSE
The purpose of this student organization is to provide academic
and cultural integration assistance of African students and also to
provide a medium for social and intellectual interaction.
ARTICLE III: AIMS
A. To create a haven for all African students and friends of
African Students.
B. To introduce Africa as a continent, a culture and as a way of
life to the Rutgers Community.
C. To create in this haven; and African atmosphere of unity and
mutual cooperation for the above mentioned students.
D. To be able to share a first hand experience and knowledge about
Africa to all the African-American organization and communities.
E. To be a link between Africa and the United States for the
benefit of students in Africa, as well as students in the United
States.
F. To keep African students in the United States aware of current
events in Africa.
G. To get African faculty and staff to become active in the
organization and to help expose them to the membership as positive
role models.
H. To help new African students understand the workings of the
University, so as to provide a smooth transition into the University
and also to ensure a better working relationship between the above
mentioned students and the faculty, staff and administration of the
University.
I. To coordinate programs and activities to help communicate the
above stated aims.
