An excerpt from Chapter Six
Summer Heat
   

      
As Runs Like Wind reached into the river to drink, he felt the sun's blistering heat upon his back. It burned deep into his already heat struck body. It made the blood in his viens feel as though it were boiling.
      This was the beginning of yet another sweltering, hot afternoon. The sunlight shined so bright that it was blinding. The air was so heavy that it was difficult to breathe.
