- BACKGROUND
- As a flautist I have regularly been performing with various jazz groups, new music ensembles, symphony orchestras, pop artists and non-Western music groups, both as a band member and as a guest in the UK and different parts of the world.
I studied flute at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Kathryn Lukas, Philippa Davies, Peter Lloyd and participated in master classes given by the late Geoffrey Gilbert. I studied jazz with the late Lionel Grigson.
I am a professor at both the Trinity College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I have given consultations, workshops or coached at the Trinity College of Music, York and Durham Universities as well as The Centre for Young Musicians, Morley College.

STOP PRESS! My new composition commission for the worldly, contemporary classical ensemble "Lontano" will receive it's first performance at La Linea, London's Festival of Latin Music. The All About Samba night takes place in the Purcell Room, South Bank Centre on 21st April 2005.

I often compose and arrange music in many different genres and parts of the world for various bands, ensembles and orchestras. I have also written for the BBC in England.
Commissions have included compositions for the prominent UK percussion quartet "Ensemble Bash" who toured parts of the UK with my work "Always on my Mind", and� for the adventurous ensemble "The New Music Players",
my work -"Timeless Odyssey"- which was premiered at the Dartington International Summer School.
