After warm-up's and when the Zamboni comes out to "resurface" the ice, the ROWDY CROWD of old always did a series of waves when the Zamboni came by. Usually the series varied (no one could ever remember an exact sequence) and was led by one individual letting everyone know what the next wave was and demonstrating it to the crowd.
I've never seen any of these done but they should seem almost self-explanatory, except for the undertow for which your guess is as good as mine...
