| Kris Fuller is the second child born to John and Gayle Fuller. He was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on January 7, 1976. Kris moved quite a bit as a youngster, but no matter where he moved to, he always had his siblings to play with. Kris had a very active childhood. He enjoyed playing sports and collecting baseball cards and Star Wars figurines. Kris attended San Marcos High School and was an all-star student and athlete. He was on the Varsity football, basketball, and track team. He was also a member of the National Honor Society and graduated in the top 10% of his class. After high school, Kris decided to attend Texas A&M University in College Station. He majored in electrical engineering and was a regular on the Deans List. Kris thrived on the traditions, camaraderie, and excitement that Texas A&M had to offer. At TAMU, Kris was a member of Electrical Engineering Coalition and EE Honor Society. He also participated in intramural football and basketball. While in high school, Kris met Kim Davis. They both shared an avid love for family, friends, and athletics. Kim participated in volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, track, and cheerleading. Her achievements in these sports earned her the honor of SMHS Best Athlete. Kim too was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated from SMHS in the top 5% of her class. Kim continued her education at The University of Incarnate Word where she earned a full soccer scholarship. After her first year at UIW, and despite being honored with Conference Freshman of the Year and All-American, Kim decided to transfer to a larger school. At Southwest Texas State University, Kim was a member of the Medical Explorers program and was awarded a position on the Bobcat softball team. In the Fall of 1994, Kim made her final collegiate move to Texas A&M University. At TAMU, Kim was a member of the Psychology, English, and Biomedical Science Honor Society. For Kim, being named to the Deans List was an exciting honor. In 1996, Kim received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and English. She also completed the Texas Secondary Teacher Certification for English, Psychology, and Health. On Valentines Day in 1998, Kris proposed to Kim at a beautiful park in College Station. They were married on September 5, 1998. After a splendid honeymoon in Maui, Kris and Kim returned to their new home and careers. Kris began his career in the Engineering Leadership Program at National Instruments of Austin, Texas. He quickly moved up the career ladder where he is currently the Product Marketing Manager for the companys flagship product. Kris has been honored with numerous company awards and continues to strive for improvement. Kims first teaching job was with the Leander Independent School District. She taught Health and Future Careers at a new school called Cedar Park High School. She was also the Varsity soccer and cheerleading coach and the assistant volleyball coach. In its first year as a program, her soccer team earned a playoff berth and Kim was named the district Coach of the Year. She continued to learn and grow as both a teacher and a coach. In 2001, her Cedar Park soccer team made it to the UIL State Semi-finals. In 2002, they returned to the State Tournament to become the 4A State Runner-ups. In 2003, when the opportunity presented itself, Kim decided to transfer to the new LISD high school, Vista Ridge. Here she will become the Head volleyball and soccer coach. Knowing that starting a new program again will be hard work and will require lots of patience, Kim takes this challenge on with enthusiasm. Despite all the hours at work, Kris and Kim still find time for family and fun. They have vacationed in Switzerland, Japan, Italy, Belize and Hawaii. They are fanatics of Texas A&M football, traveling across the country to support their team. Kris also enjoys supporting the youth by becoming a regular summer counselor at the prestigious government camp Boys State. Kris and Kim also love to spend time with their wonderful families and extended families. Although they currently do not have children of their own, Kris and Kim adore their Labrador puppy, Hunter. Kris still enjoys playing basketball and football, while Kim enjoys photography and playing volleyball. Kris and Kim attend the River Bend Church in Austin. They thank God every day for the wonderful blessings they have in their lives. They are so fortunate to have remarkable families, friends, and each other. They truly believe that being married to their best friend is the reason for their incredible happiness. |
