| Tyson Brendan Neighbors will be seven months old on the 9th of May. Growing is his favorite pastime as he has grown from seven pounds five ounces to twenty-one pounds four ounces and from twenty inches to twenty-eight inches. His wardrobe went from newborns that swallowed him to 12 month clothes, with not much room to grow. He is in the 95th% of his age group in weight and height. The doctor is concerned about the fast rate at which his head is growing and has referred him to a specialist. It could be merely that his head is growing faster than his body and his body will catch up later. Our family went from two to three with Tyson in the center both night and day. He sleeps most of the night, but occasionally wakes at three oclock in the morning with eating on his mind. His days are spent entertaining everyone at Apples for the Teacher where he has his own room with duck wallpaper, bed, swing and rocking chair. Talking consists of Ba, Ba when hungry and Ma, Ma when he feels like he does not have his mothers full attention. Flirting comes very natural to him with the raised eyebrow, glowing eyes and sweet smile. With everyone he meets, the comment is always, He looks just like his daddy. The walker seems to only propel backwards since he has not found the way to propel it forward. Sitting up opens up a new world of vision, yet balance is still a challenge as he falls when grasping for things beyond his reach. Crawling requires coordinating movement between hands and knees which is very difficult to do if you think about it. It will probably be mastered within in the next week or so. Meals have gone from one ounce of milk to carrots, sweet potatoes, and squash. Cereal is eaten at bedtime. In the enclosed picture it is clear to see how his personality is adapting to the wondrous world he has entered no matter where his parents places him. Thank you for sharing this miracle which has touched our lives. We love and cherish each of you. |
