Enjoy the Bardic Competition to choose the 13th Bard of Castlemere. This Bardic competition is only open to members of the Shire of Castlemere. Each participant will present any type of performing entry they wish. It can be original, SCA, period and can center any theme dealing with the SCA, the Medieval era or the Renaissance. If an entrant uses someone else's work they MUST name the source. The first duty of the Bard of Castlemere is to help judge the Warrior Bard competition. The winner is encouraged to wear the baldric proudly, and return next year to host the competition. The Bard of Castlemere also gets the use of a guitar for One Year.
The competition is open to any loyal subject of the Crown of Trimaris that wishes to represent our Kingdom as Warrior Bard (planning to attend Gulf Wars and encourage the troops would be a good aspiration for the Warrior Bard but it is not a requirement.) Entries should deal with some aspect of the Warrior's life (example: heroes, battles, loving a warrior, training, tall stories, loyalty, knightly virtues.) It can be an original or created by someone else. If an entrant uses someone else's work they MUST name the source. The winner is encouraged to wear the baldric proudly and return next year to run the competition. The Warrior Bard of Trimaris also receives the Sword of the Warrior Bard.
