"Controversy for the sake of controversy is sin; controversy for the sake of truth is a divine command."
                                                                 - Walter Martin -

Eze 34:2 Son of man, prophesy aga inst the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
Isa 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Jer 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.
Ro 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Are we reading the whole bible?

Or, are we allowing others to interpret it for us?

It has been nearly 2000 years since the times of the apostles. There has been plenty of time for false teachings to infiltrate our churches. If history, and the bible, teaches us anything, then we must accept the truth that closing our mind to the possibility of error in our own church is one sure way to really tick God off. With God having loved us enough to give us an operators manual (the bible), and the Holy Spirit to guide us, we are without excuse if we remain silent and allow false teachings to go unchecked in our churches.

"The hottest places in hell are for those who in times of great difficulty declare their neutrality."

I am not here to interpret the bible for you. The last thing I want to do is to have you feel that I think I have a hotline to God and that I get to tell everyone how wrong they are, and how right I am. My purpose here is simply to point out some things I sincerely feel have hurt the cause of Christ so that you may search your own heart (and hopefully the bible) in the matters.

If you are an honorable person you'll act as the Bereans did and search the scriptures about these things. But, if you are the kind of person who feels that they have already got all the answers and would feel great satisfaction in accusing, finding fault, questioning my morals, or questioning my fruit, please refer to my testimony ; you'll find plenty of ammunition there to salve your conscious; And, in that case you'll probably find many kindred spirits at these sites . Feel free to go there and tell them about the big bad wolf that you found.

( DISCLAIMER: There's also some very nice people at these sites. )

Ac 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

2Ti 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

bullet   Have you ever noticed that people don't respond well to ranting & raving?

bullet   Do Non-Christians attend your services?

bullet   If you sometimes feel uneasy, how do you think they feel?

bullet   Do we want them to hear the Gospel and be saved?

bullet   How much do people hear when they turn the speaker off?

bullet   Would your pastor sound like the one pictured above?

bullet   If not...why?

bullet   Have you ever asked him about this?

1Ti 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

bullet   Did you notice that there are seven qualities mentioned, not just one ?

bullet   What would a stranger think of your pastor's behaviour?

bullet   If a stranger is turned off by your pastor's behaviour, do you think they'd
     learn very much?

bullet   If not...then I guess he wouldn't be such a good teacher would he?

bullet   Did you notice in 2Tim. 2:24 above that he's supposed to be patient too?

bullet   What do you think a stranger would think about his patience?

bullet   Have you ever asked about these things?

"I'm against sin. I'll kick it as long as I've got a foot, and I'll fight it as long as I've got a fist. I'll butt it as long as I've got a head. I'll bite it as long as I've got a tooth. And when I'm old and fistless and footless and toothless, I'll gum it till I go home to Glory and it goes home to perdition!"

Rebuttal to legalists' corrupt use of Habakkuk 2:15

Legalists want to use Habakkuk 2:15 to support their false teaching Re: total abstinance from wine, etc.. However, when Habakkuk 2:15 is looked at grammatically, and in context, their cries simply do not hold up.

Rebuttal to Alan Cox

Mr. Alan Cox, in his antagonist style locked me out of his forum, then posted part of a private email from me, to him, there where I could not reply. Here is my public rebuttal to that message.

10 Proofs Jesus Didn't Drink Or Make Wine: A Rebuttal  Updated 10/6/99

Mr. Cox presented this (plagiarized) article to show proof that Jesus didn't drink or make wine. Here is my rebuttal to his weak arguments.

Was Jesus A Winebibber?

Some people did, and still would, accuse Him of that for drinking alcoholic wine. What did Jesus say about that?

New Testament Wine

Have you been told the truth about the wines in the New Testament? Have you based your beliefs on the truth, or, are they based on a lie? Here's the truth that some people don't want you to know.

One Impudent False Teacher

One forum host tries to convince people that others' shouldn't judge him. And, that it's nobody else's business if he teaches false doctrine. My reply to that is: "Sorry bubba...but you lose!...The bible rules! And, it calls you a liar and a deceiver."
