Well, Punch is now finally gone, I
think. It survived two other incarnations, but the end of Alan
Coren's editorship, in the 1980s, was really the last stand of the great
humour magazine on which the New Yorker was modeled.
This might not look like much, but I love this cartoon. This was
in the penultimate issue of Punch in 2002, and it was largely put together
on the computer. Up until then I was a little timid about combining
drawings and digital art, but I was very happy with this one, and I was
anxious to do more. Of course, the magazine then went tits-up.
What can you do?
