Well, Punch is now finally gone, I think.  It survived two other incarnations, but the end of Alan Coren's editorship, in the 1980s, was really the last stand of the great humour magazine on which the New Yorker was modeled.

 
After it appeared in Punch, in 1983,  this cartoon was bought for a private collection by Hugh Taylor, who I gather was 'something' in ecclesiastical circles.  Nice guy.
