My Wife Sue And I With Our 8' Orion EQ Scope. This is the Scope I usually take to most Star Party's. So come by and say HI, i'll be glad to have you look thru my scope. I love nothng better than sharing the nightsky with anyone that is interested in Astronomy. If you are getting ready to purchase a scope talk to one of us first. Don't make a mistake you'll regret later on like alot of people do. They buy a scope and find out that it's not really the one that they wanted. You want a telescope that you can use. Most people buy a scope at the local department store, get it home and are so excited to use it they start looking for things. Well unless you know where to look, your not going to see really anything, well except the Moon, if you can find it. And most of these scope come will small eyepieces that are called .965 eyepieces. And most are made of plastic. It's almost like using a plastic bottle for an eyepiece. So why no be smart and talk to someone first, and get a scope that you'll use for a long time. And not just put in the closet like most do. |

| So the first thing that people as us when we're at a Star Party is "How Far Away Can You See? Or what power are you using? Or the most asked question is can we see the Flag On the Moon? Well the last question is no way. The object is too small and we would need a telescope almost a mile wide to see it, and in this date and age that's just not gonna happen It' not how far you can see but where to look.If you don't know a little about the night sky, you'll need lots of luck in finding most of the things out there. |
