| My Name is Rod Sutter. I am the current President of "The Phoenix Astronomical Society." I have been an Amateur Astronomer since I bought my first telescope back in 1986 to see Halley's Comet when it flew by. After looking at it in my 4" Spectrum, I was hooked. I didn't have lots of time back then to get really excited about Astronomy, most of the time I just worked a lot. Now that I have found "The Phoenix Astronomical Society", I have lots of new friends and a reason to go out every night possible to view the wonderful stars, galaxy's, nebulas, clusters, planets, or just be outside for the evening looking at the Constellation. If you would like more information about anything on my web-site feel free to email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. My wife is Sue Sutter, she loves Bingo, that's where she is now. She goes out to Star Party's with me, even though she's not into Astronomy, she likes to help out and meet new people. She also helps Terri, the Vice- President of the club, when we do events. She invites the people to view thru the many different scopes that we usually have at the events, and offers them handouts that we give out at these events. Handout could be anything from Star Charts, to magazines. Go to www.pasaz.org and see if there is anything there that interest you. Rod Sutter |
