Shut In
These guys are still pretty young but show a lot of promise.  Ray (guitar/vocals), and Colin (bass) used to be in a band called freezer key.  Tommy plays drums for the band and they are recording a CD soon.  Shut-In can please a crowd and knows how to get things rockin'.  With a punk style that is both aggressive enough to incite moshing, and mellow and  melodic enough to show their skills as musicians.  All three members are really laid back and chill......  really cool guys.  They even have a Rap/Rock song where Ray gets on the drums, Colin takes over guitar, and Tommy does the Rappin.  These guys are super cool and I encourage everyone to attend their shows.
Jerry with Twill
Indie, emo, pop explosion with a little punk and metal thrown into the mix.  Jerry's guitar work and vocals are a great combination, he even plays bass on a few of their songs.  Harvey on bass is a very valued asset to the band with his contribution of vocals, bass, and guitar to Twill's sound.  Andy usualy plays guitar as well, but also does bass when they all switch to do different songs.  Some songs require a different player to get a particuar style, and if it works for Twill then that's what they should do.  A very talented group that is deeply diverse.  I reccomend checking them out next time they play.

Ahhhh...... Speed Trap.  I miss this band very much.  I never had so much fun in a band.  "Evil" Eddie on bass (now in BroKin), "Brainy" Brian (myself) on vocals, "Rockin'" Roberto Conde on the guit-fiddle, and "Bony" Tony Mckee on drums.  This was one of the most rockin' bands in the Anchorage scene while
it was still around.  We were playing fridays and saturdays of just about every weekend.  Eddie and I were a great team too.  Eddie wrote most of the music except for a few parts here and there and with the arrangements, which I took care of.  I wrote the lyrics for all the songs but 2, and Rob wrote the music for Former Freinds.  We had such a great time playing.  More and more people would come to each show, and we loved every minute of it.  I miss that band.  Maybe some day there could be another "incarnation" of the ST crew or another variation of it.  Never know....  it could happen.
