"Let's make some noise"
Page 3
Coming to us from Big Lake, Pittman road area, in the valley.  This 5 piece machine of thrash will drag you kicking and screaming into the pit.  With their onslaught of power punk / metal, they bring a terrifying dose of anarchy, a dash of rage, and bucket load of ass kicking goodness.  A 3 part wall of sound, and perfectly blended tone exchange between high and low with their two vocalists.  The two on the far left of the picture are the vocalists, Seth and Shawn, then Bodi (Drums), Donnie (Bass),  and Jesse (Guitar) on the far right.  This gang o' thugs is all about "Rallyin'".  Check out thier website, too.  Rally on ! !
AT Fault
Ariel Descent has got to be one of the biggest crowd pleasers, in both Anchorage and Valley scenes.  They put on one hell of a show.  This quartet has skills.  Musicaly they play like they're family, and their showmanship improves with every time they play a show.  A>D> is relatively new to the scene but are quickly becoming one of the favorites.  Especially with the ladies which is always a plus.  These boys are honest to goodness rock, and they love to break things together as a family.  Fire, Mayem, Destruction !! They even have their own demolition crew.  Everyone in the band is just the coolest of individuals too.  Don't miss Ariel Descent, and go to as many of their shows as you can because they just keep topping themselves everytime they play.

TOBY
So, as if the Anchorage scene weren't underground enough.  Toby has been around for a good 4 years, and retains anonymity, and is considered a bit of a mystery.   I was originaly the vocalist when the band started out.  I then started playing bass after Brett moved to Texas, while Jim was doing vocals.  Soon after opening for Bad Religion, I was replaced by the best damn bassist in Alaska.  Nate "Nicky da Ear" Glansbeek.  I can sum up his ability in one word..... prodigy.  Then there is Chris on drums who can just rip shit up.  Drummers aren't usually noticed in bands but, Chris has such personality back there you can't help but to notice him.  Watch for the tongue, it always seems to be out when he plays.  Next you have Mike on guitar.  Mike's an old guy so he's been around long enough to be able to pull off some wicked crazy shit.  Along with his Paul Reed Smith guitar and Mesa Boogie Tripple Rectifier amp, Mike carries a wall of sound with him.  Not to mention that he can get so loud when he sings, that he doesn't need mic.  Then there is the master mind behind it all.....  Jim Loftis.  A lyrical genius who writes most of the music on his couch at home with an acoustic.  Shows it to the rest of the guys and they turn that gold into platinum.  Toby is the shit.  I may be a little biased, but when it comes to a tight band, it doesn't get tighter than Toby.  A perfect blend of Punk and Metal.  Toby does it right.
