Avian Antics first began nearly 20 years ago with the raising of a handful of Macaw, Cockatoo and Parrot babies for individual customers.
We remain a very small, family operation and pride ourselves on intelligently raising the ultimate in feathered, family companions.
It is my belief that each and every breeder should be responsible for all that he breeds. Thus, I keep tabs on all babies that leave here and offer assistance to all of my customers whenever it is needed.
It is my hope that each and every customer that leaves here with one of my babies (they are always MY babies) will love and care for them the same way that I did while raising them. However, anybody with feathers that grows up here, is always welcome to come back, for whatever reason.
Formerly an Information Technology Professional in the now defunct dotcom industry. I took my experience with and great love for birds and turned it into a career as a Veterinary Avian Technician. I worked for my Vet! I spent and continue to spend many hours educating people on such basics as proper diet, wing trims, behavior, and the daily needs and maintenance of Macaw's, Cockatoo's, Parrots, Parakeets, etc.
In 2002, I jumped on the opportunity to semi-retire and assist in operating two home based business.
Wranglers Roost an on-line Parrot Supply Store and OakRidge Kennel a Boarding and Grooming Facility. Those two ventures combined with Avian Antics, was truly anything but any kind of retirement! However, it was a
wonderful experience which I enjoyed for 2 years.
More recently, there have been a number of changes in my life. I spend a good deal of time travelling, seeing the sights, visiting family, and I will soon be married!
Avian Antics' doors are closed, but we invite you to visit all of our pages, where you will find pictures of our feathered friends and many of the wonderful people who are now their "parronts".
It is my hope that you will enjoy these "babies" as much as I did, if only from the comfort of your easy chair.
