Drawing in perspective requires something called a horizon line and points. Depending on how many points used is what perspective it's in. For instance using 1 point is a 1 point perspective, 2 points is a 2 point perspective and 3 for a 3 point perspective. The horizon line is what determines if you're looking at the top or the bottom of the object. If it's below the horizon line then you're looking down on it and anything above the line you're looking up at. Drawing done in 3 point are either bird's eye or worm's eye. It causes a radical above or below view. The closer the points the more drastic the perspective.

The 1 point perspective was my first project creating scenery and not just shapes. The 2 and 3 point perspective drawings where part of my final. They represent 2 of the 7 circles of hell from Dante's Inferno.
