The 144,000 First Fruits

two blades of wheat

John has two visions of 144,000 Special Believers. He sees them in Chapter 7 and 14. They are identified as groups of 12,000 specially selected from each of the twelve tribes.

I connect the dots on this one to the first 144,000 martyrs of the New Israel. The scattered New Chosen Jews would have still known their tribes at that time and new gentile converts coming in would have been assigned to a tribe. We know that they are martyrs for they have been harvested. They are called "The First Fruits" (Rev.14:4).

The "First Fruits" are gathered at the beginning of the growing season. At the beginning of the church age Rogue Israel killed many of the followers of Yahshuah in Israel and when they dispersed to the wilderness, Rogue Jews all over the wilderness attacked them, and thousands more were slaughtered by hostile goddess-worshipping religions . We know that the Roman Empire killed thousands as sport in their Coliseums.

In Chapter 14 John tells us what qualities these early martyrs had that gave them a place among the select group.
1. They faithfully followed the lamb, Yahshuah, wherever he went (faithful).
2. No Guile (false teachings) was found in their mouths.
3. "They are not defiled by women for they are virgins" (Rev.14.4)

Not Defiled by Women?

I am surprised that there has not been an outcry from Christian women about this verse. Does the Bible really teach that having sex with a woman is a defiling experience? Of course not. The Gospel teaches that "Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled." (Hebrews 13:4) Not only is sex undefiling in marriage, it is honorable. So what does this verse mean?

Earlier in my notes I suggested that anyone (male or female) who teaches contrary to the Gospel is a Jezebel. It is accepting false doctrines that defiles you. Jezebel corrupted Israel with her spirit, doctrines, and deeds. These men and women of the 144,000 first martyrs were not defiled by any of these. They kept their love light shining, and taught a pure unadulterated Gospel. They remained the virginal bride of Christ unto death.

They remain a role model for we latter day Christians who must be prepared for the Main Harvest of martyrdom in the great tribulation that is coming.
