Ducks were the first
thing I ever went hunting for, so it's my first
love. ~ The first duck I ever shot was a Bluewing
teal, followed by many more BW teal then Wood
ducks, etc. ~ Most of my hunting is done over
decoys; ponds, smaller lakes, marshes and rivers.
~ Plan on floating the river this fall and hitting some larger bodies of water (gotta a duck boat). ~ Also going to try field hunting for some big
Canada geese.I often hunt alone, that
is, until Junior is old enough to go along, (he already practices his calling and decoy spreads ) so I depend a lot on my 4-legged hunting buddy and partner, Jag, our 80lb black Lab. ~ He went on his first hunt at 10mos and he keeps getting better and better. He is 3yo now. ~ We look forward to each and every fall. ~ Come on duck season. (I hope it's better than the '99 season was)!
