Jasper Wilkins was born January 16, 1974. At the age of 7 Jasper
began his musical career by singing and dancing on the street.
Unfortunately the kid was genuinely homely and most people mistook him
for a monkey, but when a kind old lady threw a quarter at him it dawned on
little Jasper that he could make money doing what was basically a monkey's
job.
In 1992 Jasper was listening to a radio station when
he heard the sounds a struggling blues band from Seattle called Nirvana.
Jasper knew that his if he was going to peruse a career in music, the time
was now. He moved to New York City where he sang on sidewalks. Life was hard
but Jasper endured.
Once he was jumped in the Subway (not the train but the
restaurant). The thief stole all of his money and his clothes. Jasper ran
to the street where he was met by a Cop. He was quickly arrested for indecent
exposure.
That night in jail proved to be one of the luckiest events
in Jaspers life. He had the pleasure of sharing a cell with a young harmonica
player by the name of Jo-Jo Midnight. It was that
night that they came up with what would later be known as "The Incarceration Blues", BLUES
WANDERER was born. Once they got out Jo-Jo introduced Jasper to
alcohol, one of Jasper's happiest memories. The two drank so much that they
were able to take their booze bottles to a redemption center, and from the
money from that, rent a loft apartment in uptown Manhattan.
Jasper and Jo-Jo Played Blues clubs all over New York,
but to little success. One night while they were getting extremely drunk,
they ran across a solo bass player by the name of Broken
Catfish. Catfish joined the band and convinced them that the only way
to get their name out there was to tour, so once they sold their apartment
they were off. A few months later the trio ran across a drunken buzzard
by the name of Almagore, who by some trickery,
became the manager of the band. After
a gig in Memphis, Jasper suggested the guys go bar hopping. They walked for
about a mile until Jasper
pointed out a very hi-tech bar. They entered but no one waited on them. They
began mixing drinks and a massive explosion blew all of four of them
out a second story window. When they came to it was explained to them by
Fire Officials that they had been in a High School chemistry lab. They
were all stricken blind and their vocal chords were burnt to a crisp, but
this actually improved their act. Since that day they have been knocking
crowds dead all over the country. BLUES WANDERER FACT
: Jasper once owned half of a small company called Microsoft, but since
the company wasn't doing so well he sold his half for $60. He than went to
the nearest bar and drank himself silly. No one has told him about how Microsoft
has done since than.
