Jo-Jo- Midnight , famed harmonica player was born on June 12, 1975 to Mitch
and Judy Midnight. As you can tell by the name, they didn't really like
Jo-Jo all that much. Like all aspiring musicians, Jo-Jo moved to New York
city to further his career. He was subsequently arrested however for playing
non stop in a Subway (the restraunt, not the train). It was in his cell that
he met a young singer/song writer Jasper Wilkins.
When they were released Jo-Jo took Jasper to a bar where he had his first
drink. After a bout a week of heavy binge drinking they cashed in their booze
bottles and bought a loft apartment in Manhattan.
They played Blues clubs all over New York , but
were only mildly successful. One night while very intoxicated they two met
a bass player by the name of Broken Catfish. After
some convinceing from Catfish, Jo-Jo and Jasper decided to sell their apartment,
and with the money bought a tour bus. After a gig in Memphis the guys went
to what they thought was a hi-tech bar with lousy service. They started mixing
drinks when Jo-Jo noticed something. He tried to say something but an explosion
threw all of them out a second story window. When they came to, Fire
Officials explained that they were in a High School chemistry lab. Jo-Jo
said that he'd seen something on a black board and never heard of a drink
called a "Hydrochloric Acid On The Rocks". After the explosion Jo-Jo's and
the rest of the band's careers took off.
BLUES WANDERER FACT: Once, when Blues Wanderer opened for Stevie Wonder,
Jo-Jo Midnight sneaked into his dressing and changed around the furniture.
Than left a hot Bar-B-Q fork in his chair.
