We started off with the cat Wedding things and took a 6-4 lead. We
would hold this lead until mid-game, when the Raider took it over 16-20,
with Single syllable band names. Game one was ended with types of
Terriers. The Raiders winning 33-21.
The second game started off the same way, the Wonders w/ 6-4, Rooms in a
mansion. But, the Raiders took the lead, 16-13 with high school
things and kept going. Raider winning the game 31-25. Good
Game Raiders.

Just a regular old Saturday morning game, a six on six match that went to
3 games. The really funny thing is that in the only game where the
Liz^ards beat us, we had started that game with an 11 nothing lead!
They actually led us for most of the first game as well, but our comeback
was gradual and we finally got 'em on Rodent Types. Kodiak had a
rather impressive sweep on Alyssa Milano films that accentuated (even if I
were lucky enough for that to be a word, I don't know if I am using it the
right way here) their big comeback in game 2. Game 3 was pretty
close until halfway through (15-14 LOLers) when we swept a Double Point
Fairy Tales cat (Law got 4 of them!) for a 29-16 lead, end of story there.
Also, congratulations to our little Sapphie, who could not be at today's
game because she just got her first job, and today was her first day!
Congratulations Sapph!!!

The sewer looked a little empty in the morning... I think the rats go
elsewhere (work sucks!).
This game was rather weird... the old categories kept coming up and Lauren
& Ski-Dude probably got half the points for the entire first game...
Everyone contributed their knowledge and their sense of humor. All
in all it was just too darn fun for words.
Lauren was outstanding today, earning her MVP (most valuable partyhostess).
See 'ya in the sewage...

FOURplay lost both games to the Rats 30-18 & 35-17, but
we had alot of laughs
with them sewer dwellers.

(roll_call) The Mighty Kickin' Rockettes - Amours-Jade, Baggirl,
Nitewriter, SixthRhyme, Summoner and Hope (with a guest appearance by
Cardiac_BJ, who receives the Oscar for Best Supporting Packer in a Rocker
role)
(MVP) forget the "great eight" - we have the "super
six" - and a team MVR
(our_report)
Saturday mornings have historically been ROCKER-friendly, and despite our
sparse numbers this one proved to be the same. Five and a half of us
(Six had to leave halfway through to go to the sheep super sale...)took
down that top-ranked PACK in what has to be the upset of the season (or at
least of the morning)
The first game started with a tie on Phineas Fogg, then went back and
forth between teams (and BJ kindly took pity on us poor silly women (lol)
and scored a point or three for us...thanks!) ROCKS finally prevailed in a
double point D occupations round (underDOG TRAINER and underDOG GROOMER,
Summ?) and we took the game 31-26.
The Packers wrote their ticket to a win by taking the opening cat of the
second game, Writing Utensils, by a 3-6 margin. They never looked
back, we never caught up and the Packers won the second game 27-33.
But they don't call us the Underdogs for nothing! The "comeback
kids" claimed a 10-6 lead (and a spot by the fridge) in the double
point opening round of the final game (it was Snack Foods). We held
that margin through "Day Songs" (yay Ruby Tuesday!) and doubled
it in "Computer People". We held the line at a ten point
lead through Drew Barrymore (explain to me again about the waxwork?) and
Kevin Costner (cuz he dances with wolves....AAAHHHWWWOOO!!!) and Nite
reminisced about her time on the Love Boat (did ya prefer Gopher or
Isaac?) and named all those Mexican tourist spots to bring it all home
with a 35-21 score.
Great game with a great team. We can see why you're leading the
pack, PACKERS. But watch out - this underdog is making a move!!!
(oh by the way, can anyone name a rare dog?)

(our_report)
Three great games against the LOLers! We Lizards held the lead in
the first game for 6 rounds, until the "horror movies" cat, when
the LOLers went ahead, 27-28. They got 4 points in the next round,
"rodents", to our 3 points to win the game.
The second game the LOLers took off like wild fire and gained a 0-11 lead
after 2 rounds. We Lizards pulled ourselves together and came within
2 points, 27-29. The final cat, "holidays" we lizards
celebrated and scored 5 points to the LOLers 3 points, to win 33-32.
The LOLers took off with the lead in the last game and never looked
back...winning 20-33.
This was a fun morning, playing a team with members that have a great
attitude! The LOLers are a great example for all teams....I always
look forward to playing them!
GOOOOOOOOO LIZ^ARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(our_report) The Wonders took an early lead in the first game and
held it through the first four rounds. Raiders took over the lead
with the one-syllable bands cat, then maintained it through cafeteria food
and finally types of terriers to win. Wonders again came out strong
at the beginning of the second game, and held the lead for the first two
rounds. Raiders took over with the high school cat and maintained
the lead till the end. The Wonders are a challenging team and we all
had a blast. Great games everyone!!!
