Tonight was three games full of action and ties!! The Rocks took an
8-2 lead with VCR button cat. We closed up the lead to within 3 pts.
7-11 with Jodie Foster movies. I came back in, after getting booted,
on the Italian Opera cat. We took a 13-16 lead. We swept the
next cat too, Abbott and Costello, which gave us a 22-13 lead...wtg Thena!!
Then the Rocks came back to tie it up at 29 with Greek Tragedies.
The Wonders knew their Speilburg films, breaking the tie and ending the
game. Final score.. 30-35.
The Rocks started of with the lead again in game 2 (6-4) with islands in
the Bahamas. Thena brought us within 1 pt with songs w/ you in the
title. Thena was hot tonight!!! The next cat was songs w/lady
in the title and the Rocks tied it up at 14-14. We brought the lead
back with Butterflies, lead by 1 pt. 17-18. I got booted once
more(shocking, isnt it?LOL) I came back in on the cat, Geographical
feature of the earth. The Rocks knew their stuff on this one and won
it with a score of 22-30. WTG Rocks!!
By the third game, there was a lot of wiggling, waggling and back flipping
going on. Wonders had a 6-3 lead on the 1st cat, one name
entertainers.
The Rocks took a 16-11 lead w/ Box Office hits and the Wonders began to
sweat. We were all tied at 26-26 w/ baby animal names. Then
the cat, Stable of Wrestling came up and I dont know about anybody else.
But, I thought the Rocks got it. The Wonders won it..... 31-28. WTG
Wonders!!
Good Games Rocks!!!!
WIGGLE ON WONDERS!!!!!!

This has got to be positively one of the best games we've played this
season even though we lost, boy were we loaded locked & ready to
rock! At first nobody could get in then finally after 15
minutes everyone pours into the room like "Hey sorry I'm late, I
couldn't get in!", come to find out we weren't alone. So the
game started 15 minutes late, but neither team was deterred.
In the first game, we were able to take small leads on Hardy Boy books and
Luxembourg, but Six Pack tripped us up on V names and took it from there,
including a notable sweep of eight on GEO words right at the end.
In the second game, the speed started to set in for Jane (Lawchick) and
she went through these "foreign" categories like a tornado!
At first it didn't look so nice, they went up on us 7-3 with their
knowledge of Aussies. "Sweep...Australian for Six Pack!"
Law saved us by scoring 3 points on that round, then she scored 3 more in
the ensuing cat of languages no longer spoken. Maybe that's a lawyer
thing, I don't know. Well, after that we took the lead of 14-9 on
units of measure (yours truly LUCKED out on that one and got three), and
we pretty much carried it straight to the end.
Game three was the real bee in the bonnet we exchanged the lead back
and forth and back and forth until we were completely dizzy! We
started out fine with circus performers and Absolutely Fabulous, taking a
7-5 lead. Six Pack regained some of their respect on Aretha
Franklin, taking control of the game 12-9. So we shed some light on
the subject and retook the lead on a double point LIGHTS cat!
Lawchick had a nice little minisweep on the Monkeys cat (did you learn
them from Tarzan, Jane?), to give us a comfortable lead of 25-20.
The Sixers lessened our lead just enough on a cat that looks like
"Chevy Oh", that's my messy writing for you again, well anyway
the score was now 29-26 LOLers. Six had a miracle round with Brit
Comedians and tied the game at 31-31. So it was anyone's game as we
went into MAD words. They seem to know those word cats, though as
they had a MAD SWEEP of 8-2 to win in the end, 39-33. I guess there
had to be a reason I don't call myself "Madmartiga!
n" anymore huh? See ya!

New pocketbooks and boots for everyone! The Rats skinned the
Lizards in a 2 game brawl last night.
We Rats came out of the gate with a sweep of 4 out of 10 answers for
things in a beauty salon(hey, even Rats need some personal hygiene). The
Lizards came back with a fury on the next round scoring 6 points for kinds
of sharks. The next cat of Sci-Fi shows brought the score to 10-8,
out favor. The SloBBering Rats cleaned up the joint with double
"B" words (and, yes SLOBBER was there!), bringing the score to
18-10. Balless sports went our way with a score of 22-14. The next
cat of "ice" words also went our way...27-16.
The last cat of the first game was Neil Diamond
albums, in which the Rats proved that we sometimes have horrible taste in
music, giving us the the win with 32-20. Bridge terms started out
our next game giving us a one point lead. The Lizards let us know they
were trying hard to climb that proverbial "ladder" bringing the
score to 13-11, Lizards favor. Ev decided to show us all her english
skills, sweeping the next cat of misspelled words. The next cat brought us
straight to heaven with a score of 22-17 on books of the New Testament.
The last cat of the night was films of Drew Barrymore, and finalized yet
another slobberific night for the Rats!

WOW! That just about describes the game tonight. Every game had lead
changes and ties. Bot threw out a big variety of categories tonight,
including a new one I had never seen 98-99 Box Office hits. It took the
very last round of each game to decide the victor.
These were very intense games. SixthRhyme had a very good game (even if
she played dead tired). We just came up a few points shy in the end.
Kudos to the Wonders on a terrific game. We look forward to our next
meeting.
GO ROCKERS!! GO UNDERDOG!!!!!

(our_report) What a great nite we had...We gave the rats a run for
their money only to fall a few points short(makes u wonder what our record
would be if we could get at least 10 people per game..lol) The rats took
the first game fairly quick (with the exception of my cat..sharks..hahah)
the second game was a bit closer i think i got froze out on the last cat
and couldnt get the score from nedi b4 she left, anyways i would
congratulate myself for mvp but would like to thank the teamies that could
make the game(they r the true mvps)well thx nedi for letting me do this
and maybe next time ill have something better to write about..

GREAT ATTENDANCE raiders. game 1 started with a cars cat, followed
by oscar winning directors, and the raiders never looked back. game
2 was slow until the raiders soared in a double point skating cat, and
cruised to the win.
GOOD GAME ALL |
