| - The Turbo III engine is a 2.2L, 16-valve, DOHC/Intercooled, Turbocharged engine. - Camshafts are put alongside the valves, and activate them through roller rocker arms. - 8.5:1 compression ratios, with 11psi of boost from a Garrett TB03 turbo. - Balance shafts from the TIV, as was the Intercooler - 6500rpm redline - 224hp@6000 rpm & 217 ft/lbs@2800rpm - Began in 1991 on the SPIRIT R/T alone - 1992 - Engine available in the IROC R/T and SPIRIT R/T - Ended in 1993 on the Daytona IROC R/T alone |
