Sharks are amazing creatures that are furious and dangerous. Did you know
that when a great white shark is born it starts to leave it's family. After
a bay shark is born the mother no longer sees it as her baby it sees it
as a prey. A female shark can give birth to a pup if she is 12 or older,
but sometimes they are not able that fast so they give birth around when
they are 14 years of age. A great white shark can have up to about 10 to
12 babies when it is about to have babies. When a great white shark is
born it is about the length of 1.5 meters but when it is grown it can reach
the length of 4.5 meters.
The baby shark is called a pup this pup will live in the top of the ocean food chain. Soon this animal will become the oceans biggest predator. A baby pup should try to stay away from other sharks or other predators bigger than itself. A baby shark eats fish, other baby sharks and rays. Did you know that many of the baby sharks do not survive in their first year because they usually get eaten by other sharks and other predators bigger than itself. As a shark grows it's favourite preys becomes sea mammals specially sea lions and seals. When a shark spots a seal they often position themselves under the seal and they swim upward in a burst of speed leaping out of the water, this is called a breach and when they are coming back into the water they have a seal in their mouth. Sharks are powerful creatures but however they don't chew their prey they rip their prey into chunks of pices and they swallow thier food whole. People often think that sharks are big creatures so they need a lot of food but it is not true. If a shark eats a seal or a sea lion they could stay without eating a big meal for about a month or maybe two. I got my information on the following:
